Playdough &
Playdough Kits

Storage & Shelf Life

  • Keep in an airtight container in the fridge.

  • Heat and humidity can affect consistency.

  • Lasts up to 3 months if stored properly.

  • Replace if it becomes hard, moldy, or smells off.

 

How to Use

  • Always play with clean, dry hands on a clean surface.

  • Perfect for rolling, pressing, cutting, and shaping.

  • Adding sensory bases, glitter, or pompoms may shorten its lifespan.

Safety Notes

  • Handmade, non-toxic, taste-safe but not for eating.

  • Contains small parts in some kits — choking hazard for under 3s.

  • Active adult supervision required.

 

Quick Troubleshooting

  • Dough dried out? → Add a few drops of water or a dab of cooking oil and knead.

  • Sticky from humidity? → Knead in a little flour until smooth.

 

Disposal

  • Old playdough can be composted in small amounts.

  • Otherwise dispose of in general waste

Wonder Fizz
(for Potion Play)

Storage & Shelf Life

  • Store in a sealed container/bag in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.

  • Lasts up to 6–12 months if stored correctly.

  • If hardened, break it up before use.

 

How to Use

  1. Gather a tray, bowl, spoons, and natural add-ins (leaves, flowers, citrus).

  2. Add a spoonful of powder to your bowl.

  3. Slowly add water with a dropper, spray bottle, or spoon.

  4. Watch the fizz and bubbles unfold!

 

Safety Notes

  • Non-toxic, but not edible and not for use as a cosmetic.

  • Avoid contact with open wounds (may irritate eczema).

  • Use outdoors or on wipeable surfaces.

  • Active adult supervision required.

 

Quick Troubleshooting

  • Fizz clumped together? → Crush gently and use as normal.

  • Weak fizz? → Try adding less powder with more water in smaller bursts.

 

Disposal

  • Potion water can be poured onto garden soil (avoid directly onto delicate plants).

Dry Sensory Bases & Pour & Play Kits

Storage & Shelf Life

  • Store in a sealed container, cool and dry.

  • Lasts for months if kept away from moisture and sunlight.

  • Discard if mold develops or if they become waterlogged.

 

How to Use

  • Pour into a tray or tub for scooping, pouring, and small-world setups.

  • Pair with scoops, bowls, cups, or figurines for open-ended play.

 

Safety Notes

  • Non-toxic but not edible.

  • Choking hazard — not suitable for under 3s without close supervision.

  • Wash hands before and after play.

 

Quick Troubleshooting

  • Damp or clumpy? → dispose of as this means base has become wet

  • Colours faded? → Still safe to use; just less vibrant.

 

Disposal

  • Compost rice, oats, or seed-based mixes once they’ve reached the end of life.

  • Sand or gravel bases can be reused in outdoor play areas.

  • Painted sensory play bases need to be disposed of in the garbage bin

Storage & Shelf Life

  • Store dry and away from heat or direct sunlight.

  • With care, can last for years.

 

How to Use

  • Ideal for playdough, bases, and loose parts play.

  • Use a BBQ skewer to gently remove dough from small holes.

 

Care

  • Wipe with a damp cloth or gentle brush.

  • Avoid soaking — moisture can cause swelling or warping.

  • Air dry fully before storing.

  • Condition with natural oils (like beeswax) every few months.

How to Use

  • Perfect for potion play, small-world scenes, and loose part play.

  • Can be sprinkled into playdough, bases, or fizz for a natural, sensory touch.

  • Great for imaginative themes (gardens, apothecary, fairy play).

 

Safety Notes

  • Although natural, dried flowers are not for eating.

  • Some flowers have small, delicate parts — supervise closely, especially with children under 3.

 

Quick Troubleshooting

  • Flowers lost their colour? → They’re still safe to use, just less vibrant.

  • Flowers look damp or smell musty? → Discard immediately.

 

Disposal

  • 100% compostable — simply return to the garden or compost once play is finished.
